215th american astronomical society meeting

if any amateur astronomers want access to possibly the biggest ever meeting of professional astronomers in the world, you can volunteer to help and gain entrance! the 215th meeting of the american astronomical society will take place in washington DC the 3-7th january, 2010!


volunteer for 16 hours to receive free meeting registration, volunteer t-shirts, access to the exhibit hall, all the sessions, and free lunch on your work days!

Is the AAS bigger than the IAU? I did hear that this AAS is looking to the the biggest ever, though.

amy - i always thought the IAU was bigger, but in the last AAS mailing, they described this meeting as potentially the largest ever meeting of astronomers. the IAU general assembly meetings are only every 3 years, so maybe that has something to do with it? or maybe they just meant in the US, i dont know.
